Mission
Our mission is to change the world’s mental health system. We want to see a more holistic model implemented worldwide… where we focus on working on the causes not the symptoms.
Young adults are over medicated and over diagnosed and something needs to change. Scendent brings the community of change!
How It works
Scendent provides scholarships to young adults who cannot afford mental health care or resources that are outside of the public health system. We step around 6 month waitlists and help young adults access care directly. Through our business avenues we can scale our scholarship fund up to help more and more struggling individuals.
Our Goals
- We aim in the short term to help 100 more individuals in the next year.
- Develop self help resources to help those “dying on waitlists”.
- Expand our community over the whole of NZ.
- Long term looking to be an international resource for individuals during low and transitional periods of life.
