THE SHORT VERSION
We use cookies to run the store, understand what's useful, and measure our advertising. You can turn off everything except the ones that make the site actually work.
We never use Directory of Help activity for advertising, marketing or profiling — and you can decline non-essential cookies entirely without losing access to anything.
1. WHAT COOKIES ARE
Small text files placed on your device when you visit a site. They let a site remember things — what's in your cart, whether you're logged in, what you've already seen. We also use similar technologies like pixels, tags and local storage, and we call all of it "cookies" here.
2. YOUR CHOICE
Current status — being straight with you. Our cookie consent banner is being rolled out. Until it is live on every page, you can control cookies through your browser settings (see section 6), and you can email scendentofficial@gmail.com with subject line PRIVACY to ask us to exclude you from analytics and advertising measurement. We would rather tell you this than describe a control you cannot yet find.
Once live, the banner gives you three options on your first visit: Accept all, Reject non-essential, or Customise. You'll be able to change your mind at any time via "Cookie settings" in the Site footer.
Rejecting non-essential cookies does not restrict you. You can still browse, shop, check out, book a workshop, and use the Directory of Help in full. Nothing is paywalled behind consent.
We also honour Global Privacy Control (GPC) signals. If your browser sends one, we treat it as a rejection of advertising and analytics cookies.
3. THE FOUR CATEGORIES
Cookie names and durations below are based on the standard behaviour of the platforms we use. Individual cookies can change when those providers update their systems. If you spot something here that no longer matches, tell us and we'll correct it.

A note on this, because it matters. We're a youth wellbeing brand and we're aware that advertising pixels sit awkwardly with that. Two commitments:
- We never build or target advertising audiences based on wellbeing content, mental health interest, or anything a reasonable person would consider sensitive. No exceptions, and no commercial reason would change that.
- We exclude Directory of Help pages from advertising and behavioural tracking wherever it is technically possible to do so, and we're working to extend that. We're telling you where we actually stand rather than claiming a guarantee we can't fully verify. If certainty matters to you, reject non-essential cookies — the Directory works completely without them.

4. THE DIRECTORY OF HELP
Worth stating on its own, because this is where privacy matters most.
What we commit to absolutely:
- We do not build profiles of Directory users
- We do not use Directory activity for advertising, marketing or targeting
- We do not share Directory usage with advertisers or anyone else
- No account, login or sign-up is ever required
The honest technical position: our analytics and advertising tools run site-wide. Where it is technically possible to exclude Directory pages from advertising and behavioural tracking, we do, and we're extending that. We'd rather be straight with you about the limits of what we can currently guarantee.
If you want certainty: reject non-essential cookies, and use a private browsing window. The Directory works completely without any cookies at all — every listing, every crisis number, every link. Nothing there is gated behind consent, and it never will be.
Finding help should not cost you your privacy.
One caveat we can't control: once you click through to a third-party service, that site's own tracking applies.

Some cookies are set by other companies. We don't control them and we can't read them.

Embedded content — YouTube videos, social posts, maps — may set its own cookies when it loads.
6. MANAGING COOKIES IN YOUR BROWSER
You can control cookies at browser level, which applies across every site:

- Edge — Settings › Cookies and site permissions
Blocking all cookies will break checkout and login on most sites, including ours.

7. IF YOU'RE IN THE EU, UK OR CALIFORNIA
EU / UK. The ePrivacy Directive, GDPR and UK GDPR require consent before setting non-essential cookies. Our consent banner is being rolled out to meet this in full. In the meantime, email scendentofficial@gmail.com with subject line PRIVACY and we will exclude you from analytics and advertising measurement. Your rights are set out in our Privacy Policy, clause 10.
California. Our Meta and TikTok pixels may constitute "sharing" for cross-context behavioural advertising under the CPRA. Opt out by sending a GPC signal or by emailing scendentofficial@gmail.com. We do not sell personal information for money.
8. CHANGES
We'll update this policy when our cookies change. Where we add a new category or a new advertising technology, we'll re-request your consent rather than assume it carries over.
